Student support

Benefit from a range of student support services to enable you to overcome any barriers in your learning, help you achieve positive outcomes and make your time at GCIT an enjoyable one. Speak to one of our counsellors about career guidance, personal or course related issues and welfare issues including referral to other services in the community. We offer support to students with disability including diagnosing specific requirements, locating and organising equipment and liaising with teachers on the students' behalf. Seek additional assistance from specialist trained teachers in preparing for exams, assignment writing, making presentations and general study skills. All appointments with our support workers are confidential and free to GCIT students.

Indigenous students

Our Indigenous Student Support Officer is available to support indigenous students on issues including identifying specific requirements, assistance with course and career options, providing information on scholarships and supporting you during your studies.

Apply for one of GCIT's Indigenous Scholarship Programs now open to all Gold Coast year 10 and 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are Queensland residents and all Queensland residents over the age of 18. Make an enquiry about 2012 scholarships now.
